We needed cooling for our master bedroom but window a/c units were unsatisfactory as far as noise and cooling. This Sanyo unit is subtle, and very effective at cooling and drying.- Extremely quiet in normal mode and incredibly quiet in quiet mode. Even the outside compressor is quiet! We are so impressed that we plan to buy another one for the rest of our house!
